eDocCapture can recognize automaticaly the type of each document based on its size, content or format. For example it can recognize if a document is an ID or tax form, or a letter, etc.

This is very usefull for automated scanning of document folders' contents.

eDocCapture uses advanced OCR technology to extract index field data from user specified areas of a document, i.e. invoice number, customer name, etc.

It also reads accurately any barcode type, even if this is skewed or rotated.

eDocCapture separates batches of documents automatically. Just fill your auto document feeder (ADF) with a batch of multiple documents. eDocCapture will automatically divide the batch into individual multipage documents based on inserted blank pages or with barcodes or patch codes.

The user can specify and adjust advanced image processing functions in each different recognition areas based on the specific characteristics of each area (color, background, lines etc) such as:
